Modest Monday

I absolutely love old buildings and history.

We certainly get a little of both here on campus. We work in two different chapels both which are very unique. In the one pictured below all the woodwork was hand carved by a former student to pay for his tuition...I will have to get some good pictures to share with you of the inside. It's really quite something!

The cadets march through these double doors twice a week...they are not usually excited about this as chapel is mandatory but march through they do and sit they must! ;) It has been challenging and very different to work with people who "have" to attend services as opposed to those who come of their own free will!

I found these lovely floral wedges at Savers in Chicago....they were a most delightful find! Wedges are the most comfortable high heels I think and are definitely easier to walk on with confidence that you won't fall over or maybe that's just me?! 😏😜

Hope you all had a lovely weekend! We have the flu bug visiting our home right now 😷 but in everything we are to give thanks...so I am very thankful that healthy happy kids are the norm for us and that it is just the flu and this too shall pass!!

Happy Monday!

  2. Oh I love your blog! I have a thing for old buildings also, and especially old churches. The architecture speaks volumes to me, and I'm not sure why, but it's soothing to take in something with such deep roots. And those shoes...well, their amazing!
